Brief Biography and or accomplishements
Driss IRAQI is a Research scientist at Biotechnology Unit of National Institute of Agriculture Research (INRA-Morocco). He did his Master in plant biology at Laval University, Quebec, Canada in 1995. The aim of his master project was to determine the effect of deficit vapor pressures and photoperiods on growth, yield, mineral composition, photosynthetic capacity and pigment contents of greenhouse tomato. He did his Ph.D. at Laval University, Quebec, Canada. 2001. His PhD project was integrated in a program of the ministry for the natural resources (Quebec, Canada) in collaboration with the Laval University in order to improve the production of somatic embryos trough somatic embryogenesis he learned many techniques on in vitro culture and molecular biology. He also works as teaching auxiliary in the Department of Physiology Laval University Ste-Foy, Quebec, Canada. He joined the National institute of agronomic research in September 2003; he is now the head of Biotechnology Unit, at INRA-Morocco.
