Brief Biography and or accomplishements

Engineer in Animal Production, graduated from IAV Hassan II Rabat Morocco in 1991. Nutritionist in the animal field and Doctor in Biotechnology. Head of the Animal Production Research Team (URPA) specializing in goat farming in the regions of northern Morocco. Coordinator of the research axis "Diversification, characterization of new local food resources, and control of their use by animals, which is part of the national project on the red meat sector." The field of research activity consists of improving the profitability of the goat industry in the regions of northern Morocco and ensuring its sustainability through the improvement of the productive performance and the nutritional quality of its breeding products by developing goat feeding strategies adapted to the conditions of the region and in the preservation of indigenous fodder ansd animals genetic resources. The main achievements are focused on the constitution of (1) a bromatological database concerning agro-industrial by-products, Hedysarum species, pastoral plants, : (2) Feed rations for growing-fattening kids based on local food resources (carob pulp, olive cake and cactus racket, lupin grains, melilot hay) and studies of their effects on weight performance and meat quality. (3) Feed rations for lactating goats based on local feed resources and study of their effects on production performance and quality of goat milk (dried olive cake, treated grains Lupin, carob, dried olive cake and cactus racket).
